She feels him stir, his mighty form begin to twist and writhe. “There there” she soothes. She begins to call the currents of the depths around her. Commanding the tides as she has done so often before. “We will wait my love, wait until our prey draws near”. She watches above, seeking the shadow that glides along the surface. The shadow that brings their meal. “Wait now” she croons “the tides and swells I have called will bring them” her voice soft. She smiles “you will use your strong arms to bring them down, down, down”.
He begins to calm, his body still in anticipation. “Let us wait now, let us be patient
…my sweet thing”.
